Buses leave Washington Convention Center (L Street Entrance) going to main campus
Assemble at Greene Stadium no later than 7:45 a.m.
Procession for Main Campus Ceremony
Leave Main Campus Ceremony — with Dean Duckett or Professor Worthy
Bus leaves from Sherman Avenue and Euclid for return trip to the Convention Center
Arrive at Convention Center and prepare for Hooding and Degree Presentation
Convention Center doors open for guests
No guest will be permitted into the Convention Center without a ticket.
Children must have tickets for admission into the Convention Center, if seats are needed, ushers will request to see tickets for all members of the party. Guests without tickets will have to leave.
Infant seats will not be permitted in the Convention Center. Infants and toddlers small enough to sit in an adult’s lap will be granted entry without a ticket. Every infant and toddler must remain in an adult’s lap or the adult and child will have to leave.
Main Campus is on the Shaw-Howard Univ. Metro Station - Green Line. Exit the Shaw-Howard U. Metro station from the 7th Street/Georgia Avenue entrance, turn right/north and proceed approximately six blocks until you have reached the main campus of Howard University.
The Washington Convention Center is located at 801 Mount Vernon Place, NW. The closest Metro stop is Mt. Vernon Sq./7th St. Convention Center on the Yellow or Green Line. Upon exiting the Mt. Vernon Sq. Metro Station, the entrance to the Convention Center is directly in front of you.
Graduates must assemble at Greene Stadium not later than 7:45 a.m. on May 10th. Your guests should plan to arrive early. They must be seated by 8:45 a.m.
There is no parking garage on main campus or at the Convention Center. Street parking or nearby parking lots may be available.
