Biography
A 1984 cum laude graduate from Howard University, Mr. Smith was admitted into the District of Columbia Bar in December of the same year.

From 1984-1985, he served as the law clerk for District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Paul R. Webber. From 1985-1991, he was employed as an associate attorney with the District of Columbia law firm, Steptoe & Johnson.

Working for the Office of Bar Counsel since 1991, Mr. Smith serves as an Assistant Bar Counsel. Mr. Smith also is an adjunct professor of law at Howard University School of Law and serves as a faculty member of the District of Columbia Bar and National Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education programs.
