Office of Admissions Dean Reginald McGahee
The National Bar Association (NBA) and IMPACT has named Office of Admissions Dean Reginald McGahee as a “winner” in their “2010 NATION’S BEST ADVOCATES: 40 LAWYERS UNDER 40” annual listing. Nominees were selected based on their achievement, innovation, vision, leadership, and legal community involvement. McGahee, a 2002 graduate of the Howard University School of Law, has been dean of admissions since 2003. Under his leadership, the Office of Admissions has recruited over 1,200 students to the law school.
McGahee said he was humbled to receive the recognition. “I am humbled by the honor,” he said. “I have always worked to represent my God, my family, my alma mater and myself to the best of my abilities.” In 2007-2008, the NBA named him “Young Lawyer of the Year.”
“The NBA is extremely proud of each of the 40 Lawyers Under 40 awardees. They have all made outstanding accomplishments in their careers and equally important in their communities,” said NBA President Mavis Thompson. Dean McGahee will be officially recognized by the NBA during its 85th Annual Convention in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Sunday, August 8, 2010.
