Biography
David S. Coaxum is a partner at the law firm of Joseph Greenwald & Laake, P.A. his practice includes all areas of family law, as well as civil litigation, administrative law, and transactional work for corporate clients. Mr. Coaxum has also previously worked as corporate counsel for a publicly traded telecommunications company.

His civil litigation work includes contract disputes, real estate litigation, defamation, and zoning matters. He has additionally served as an ethics panel member for the Maryland state attorney grievance commission and has been the treasurer for the Prince George’s County committee to elect sitting judges since 2006.

Born in New York city, Mr. Coaxum did his undergraduate studies at Howard University and obtained his law degree at the Catholic University of America in the District of Columbia. Mr. Coaxum also serves as a member of the board of directors of the Maryland pro bono resources center (PBRC), a statewide coordinator of volunteer legal services in Maryland, and actively serves as a panel member at various seminars.
