Leven Weiss joined Chrysler Corporation in 1985, as a Union Relations specialist and has served in various positions of increasing responsibility until his current position as Senior Manager – State Relations. Prior to Chrysler LLC, he was staff counsel at Dow Chemical Company and also had a private practice, focusing on criminal defense and domestic relations.

A native Detroiter and attorney, Leven graduated from Cass Technical High School. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa, where he was a four year starter at linebacker and attained First Team All-Big Ten and All-American honors his senior year. After a short stop at professional football, Leven received his Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law.

Leven served as Iowa’s representative to the Big Ten Conference Advisory Commission for eight years and as Chair of the Commission his last three years. He was honored by the Iowa College of Business Administration by delivering the Commencement Address in 1989. He has served on the Boards of the Southeastern Michigan Girl Scout Council, United Way of Oakland County, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan, Marygrove College, SER National and the Detroit Urban League. He is currently on the Detroit Fire Department Advisory Commission and the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau. He is also a life member of both the NAACP and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

He has two daughters, Jourdan and Peyton.
