The Sports and Entertainment Law Students Association, (SELSA), is an award winning, professional organization, dedicated to offering members of the Howard University School of Law and Howard undergraduate community the opportunity to learn about the practice and culture of law in sports and entertainment. Through professional development lectures, social events, and the annual Center Court conference, featuring attorneys and professional panelists, SELSA affords its members the chance to effectively network and become further educated about the unique conglomerate of legal fields that encompass sports and entertainment law.

Established back in 1996, SELSA has since received various accolades including Student Organization of the Year in 2011, and numerous student scholarships from the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA), to attend the annual BESLA conference. Likewise, SELSA has also produced a number of notable attorneys and business professionals in the sports and entertainment industry, including Ed Woods, Matthew Middleton, Inga Dyer, Louise Cummings, Piper Malone, Derek Simms, and Antoine Shaw.
