Attendance Policy

Statement of Policy:

Students are required to attend all regularly scheduled class sessions. HUSL faculty and administrators recognize, however, that a student may be absent from class because of family responsibilities, representing the school in various capacities (such as in Moot Court competitions), and to a limited extent, job interviews. Notwithstanding these limited circumstances, absence from a regularly scheduled class is strongly discouraged and a student may not be absent from more than twenty-five percent (25%) percent of the regularly scheduled class hours for a course. Although the twenty-five percent (25%) rule is established to accommodate necessary absences (generally as noted above), it should not be interpreted as a license to attend only seventy-five (75%) of the regularly scheduled class meetings.
