Biography
Professor Kurland has written “Providing a Federal Criminal Defendant with a Unilateral Right to a Bench Trial: A Renewed Call to Amend Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 23 (a), 26 U.C. Davis L. Rev. 309 (1993), “First Principles of American Federalism and the Nature of Federal Criminal Jurisdiction,” Emory Law Journal 1 (1996). He is currently working on a book concerning negotiating immunity and plea agreements in the state and federal criminal justice systems. Additionally, he regularly appears on CNN as a legal analyst.
Adam is active in several facets of the American Bar Association. Last fall, he participated in a Central Eastern and European Law Initiative Workshop in Alma-Ata Kazakhstan. He is also an active member of the ABA White Collar Crime Subcommittee, and currently serves on the Criminal Justice Section Book Publications Committee.
