Biography

Professor Lawson teaches Contracts, Remedies, and Sales & Secured Transactions. Since 1989 he has served as a member of the Multi-State Exam Contract Drafting Committee of the National Conference of Bar Examiners. Professor Lawson also serves as the Graduate Faculty representative on the University Board of Trustees.

Professor Lawson is a past President of the University Faculty Senate and is the current Chair of the Law School Appointments, Promotion, and Tenure Committee. Along with Professors Spencer H. Boyer, Henry H. Jones, Michael D. Newsom, and Richard Thornell, Professor Lawson founded the Silver Forum, an organization of the senior members of the law faculty.
