Visitors Application and Information

Fall semester visiting deadline MARCH 15th
Summer semester visiting deadline MAY 5th
Spring semester visiting deadline NOVEMBER 1st

As a result of our unique location in the nations capital and for a variety of professional and personal reasons, students who attend other ABA-approved law schools frequently request to attend Howard University School of Law for one semester or one academic school year. Visiting student status is granted on the basis of the applicant’s law school performance at their home institution and the availability of classroom space at Howard.

ATTENTION EXCHANGE STUDENTS — DO NOT USE this application if you are applying as an exchange student from: University of Maine, University of New Mexico, Vermont Law School, University of West Indies in Jamaica — Mona Campus, or Brigham Young University School of Law. Please use the exchange student application.

Due to the short period of time that a visiting student is in residence at Howard, participation in the On Campus Interviewing (OCI) process is reserved for full time and transfer students. However, visiting students are able to use the other resources of the Career Services Center.
