Re: 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid

All students interested in receiving financial aid for the 2008- 2009 academic year must file the required applications by the priority dates to ensure financial aid you qualify for will be available at the beginning of the new school year.

To apply for Federal Direct Loans, you must complete a 2008-2009 FAFSA on the web at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Returning students must use Howard University School Code 001448. You will need your Federal PIN. If you have forgotten your PIN, please go to www.pin.ed.gov to retrieve it. The priority deadline for receiving FAFSA is February 15.

To apply for an institutionally funded Need-Based Grant, you must complete the Howard University School of Law 2008-2009 Financial Aid Application. The priority filing date is April 30, 2008 for this form. Because funds are limited, awards will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Howard University School of Law Financial Aid Applications are available in the Law School’s Financial Aid Office on April 01, 2008.

Additionally, if you plan to apply for a Graduate PLUS or private educational loan, these applications must be received in the financial aid office (if applicable) by April 30, 2008 for priority processing.

The Direct Deposit Program is available to all professional graduate schools. For more information, please contact Mr. Norman James, Financial Aid Manager, in 200 Holy Cross Hall.
