Bryan R. Williams-Bio
Bryan Williams is a member of the five person New York State Board of Law Examiners, the body responsible for the writing, grading, and administration of the New York bar examination. The Board is also responsible for establishing policy for the bar exam.

The New York Court of Appeals appointed Mr. Williams to the Board in 1996. From 1986 to 1996, Mr. Williams served as a senior law examiner with the Board. In addition to his activities with the Board, Mr. Williams is a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Conference of Bar Examiners, the national organization responsible for Multi-State Bar Examination, the Multi-State Essay Exam, the Multi-State Performance Test.

A 1981 cum laude graduate of the Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C., Mr. Williams began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorneyís Office. He practiced commercial litigation at the law firms of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, and Flom and Deforest & Duer. He is currently a named partner at the Manhattan law firm of Pettus & Williams, where he continues to specialize in commercial and real estate litigation.
