Adoption Awareness Day 2007

Washington, D.C., Howard University School of Law will celebrate the release of Professor Cynthia R. Mabry’s textbook Adoption Law: Theory, Policy and Practice on January 19, 2007, to coincide with Adoption Awareness Day 2007 at Howard. The program will highlight legal issues and general concerns related to adoption. Barbara Harrison, NBC News4 Anchor, will present a video from the national Wednesday’s Child adoption program. The Honorable Ronna Lee Beck, former adoption judge for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, will explain the adoption process in the District of Columbia. Representatives from the District, Fairfax County, and Prince George’s County adoption agencies will distribute information and be available to answer questions.

The program will be held in Houston Hall, Classroom 4, at 2:00 p.m.
